Tunisia, China review studies of development plans

(MENAFN) Tunisia was confirmed to have discussed with China the initial studies conducted for initiatives secured for southern Tunisia's Medenine province.

The talks were held between Tunisian Minister of State Property and Land Affairs Mabrouk Korchid, and president of China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) Zhuang Shangbiao.

The Tunisian minister voiced anticipation for the projects to pave the way for the launch of similar initiatives within other Tunisian regions.

The plans achieved are considered to be originated from the strong and successful relations between Tunisia and China.

The development plans were revealed to be covering an economic hub in Zarzis, a 2.5-km bridge project on Djerba island, as well as a railway line linking Medenine and Gabes province in the southeast of Tunisia.
