Lebanon, China to join hands under B&R Initiative
(MENAFN) Lebanon and China are set to join hands within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, as affirmed the Ambassador for China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) Affairs of China's Foreign Ministry.
Li Chengwen confirmed that China is prepared to cooperate with Lebanon during talks with head of the board of directors of Fouad Chehab Foundation, Charles Rizk, who is also a former Lebanese minister.
Lebanon has receiving the endorsement of China, which is making efforts to boost relations between both countries, Li stated.
Rizk further stressed that the move of Lebanon joining the Belt and Road Initiative is considered as a method to fund initiatives, including projects related to electricity and water.
