Libya sees decline in oil revenues to USD1.57b

(MENAFN) Libya was revealed to have registered a decline in its oil and gas revenues in August, hitting USD1.57 billion from USD455 million in July.

The revenues decline was explained to have been driven by the closure of Es Sider and Ras Lanuf exports ports in June.

Libyan oil company NOC also stressed that oil and gas output was affected by security issues at the western El Sharara field.

NOS further assured that revenues recorded in September are expected to return to "normal levels following healthy advanced spot sales and on-target production."
