    Jordan-Syria trade thrives after border re-opening

    (MENAFN) Trade between Jordan and Syria bloomed after the re-opening of the Naseeb crossing, encouraging the business of Jordanian tourism firms.

    The Syrian currency was confirmed by currency exchange markets to have been sold increasingly after the border was re-opened.

    Freight cars were also announced to have re-commenced their supply of Syrian agriculture and products to Jordan.

    Jordanian arrivals and their products demand in Syria brought about major growth, as stated A Daraa trade owner.

    The Syrian goods were unveiled to mostly included olive oil, fruits, vegetables, meat and flour, clothing and gas.

    The trader added: "the olive oil is sold at 28,000 Syrian pounds, equivalent to 46 Jordanian dinars, while in Jordan it is sold at 100 dinars."
