Turkey, Ukraine seek to bolster strategic ties
(MENAFN) Turkey and Ukraine were reported to have agreed on building up stronger strategic cooperation in various fields, especially trade and industry.
The agreement has been secured during talks held in Istanbul between Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko.
The Turkish president affirmed that both his country and Ukraine were committed in boosting their strategic cooperation.
Erdogan stated "at this meeting (7th meeting of Strategic Council) today we are determined to complete the work on Free Trade Agreement (FTA) before the end of the year."
He further added "I believe, thanks to this agreement, our bilateral trade volume will achieve 10 billion dollars."
