Egypt eyes Chinese knowledge in youth, sports sector
(MENAFN) Egypt was confirmed to be looking at China as an example while it aims to take advantage of its knowledge in a range of areas linked to youth and sports.
The statement was made by Egypt's Youth and Sports Minister, Ashraf Sobhy, while speaking to Xinhua on the sidelines of the World Youth Forum.
The Egyptian minister stated: "as a minister of youth and sports, I would say that Egypt is very interested in the greatly advanced Chinese experience, particularly in the field of sports and sports economy."
The minister, as he further unveiled, is currently making efforts to build up ties with China, aiming to gain knowledge of China's expertise when it comes to the management of the Olympic Games, as the country seeks to host the event.
Sobhy added "what distinguishes China is that the Chinese pay great attention to the same issues of concern with the Egyptian youth."
