Jazeera Airways jumps 38.4 percent in operating revenue

(MENAFN) Jazeera Airways recorded a jump by 38.4 percent in its operating revenue from January to September 2018, reaching USD209 million.

The Kuwaiti airline was also revealed to have posted a surge of 44.5 percent in the number of its passengers, as it received 1.5 million travelers during the first nine months of this year.

During the period, the Kuwait-based airline registered an 11.2 percent decline in its net profit, and a 76.8 percent boost in its load factor.

"Operationally, fuel prices continued to increase in Q32018, rising by 35 per cent from Q3 2017, and the competitive landscape remained strong," stated the airline's chairman Marwan Boodai.

"However, despite these challenges, our investments in expanding our offering and network continued to yield positive results," the chair added.
