Oman jumps 24.4 percent in total Jan-Aug revenue

(MENAFN) Oman was revealed to have recorded a 24.4 percent increase in its overall revenues from January to August this year.

The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) explained in its provisional data the revenue boost to have been driven by a sharp rebound in the prices of oil.

The Omani budget deficit was shown by the NCSI to have registered a 34 percent decline during the first eight months of this year.

The decrease in the budget deficit was attributed to a rise seen in government revenues due to better oil profits.

Oman's net oil revenue was also found to have posted a 35.8 percent surge during the same period due to higher oil prices.
