    32MW power plant project commences in Egypt

    (MENAFN) France's launched the construction works of a major solar power plant in Egypt, its first to be established within Africa.

    The "Ra Solar" was confirmed to have built with a production capacity of 32 MW in the Benban complex in Aswan region.

    The solar power plant is to be formed under a 25-year agreement secured with Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), effective once the plant is launched.

    The sales agreement was achieved while Egyptian President Abdel-Fatah al-Sissi was in an official trip to Paris.

    The new plant will be providing a total of 93,150 Suntech photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 345W unit, mounted on a single axis with trackers.
