UAE inks deal on cyber security cooperation

(MENAFN) The Telecommunications and Regulatory Authority (TRA) of the UAE secured a memorandum of understanding with and General Holding Corporation (Senaat) on cooperation.

Under the deal, the two sides will explore joint cooperation in information and cyber security areas.

The purpose behind the agreement is to ease the swapping of expertise between the two sides to offer the UAE's organizations alerts on cyber attacks among other security threats.

"The TRA has rich experience in the field of information security and is well-equipped to combat piracy and cyber-attacks," stated TRA's executive director Information Security Regulatory Affairs, Mohammed Gheyath.

"We have gained this know-how after years of hard work and have spared no effort to train the human capital and offer them, especially Emiratis, a platform to grow and perform," the official noted.

"This MoU with Senaat is a testament of our commitment to support federal and government entities and private sector, to implement best practices in cyber security," Gheyath added.
