    Turkish exports break historic record to USD168.1b

    (MENAFN) Turkey was declared to have broken a record in its exports in 2018 historically, jumping 7.1 percent on annual basis.

    Turkish exports by the end of last year surged to reach USD168 billion, from the roughly USD157 billion recorded in 2017.

    Turkish Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan also unveiled that "in 2018, imports fell by 4.6 percent on a yearly basis to $223.1 billion."

    The minister further added that "Turkey's exports-to-imports coverage ratio reached 75.3 percent last year, up 8.2 percentage points from 2017."
