Saudi oil, gas reserves flourish after certification

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia witnessed a surge in its oil and gas reserves over the years after its independent certification was issued.

Oil and gas reserves in Saudi Arabia reached 268.5 billion barrels of oil and 325.1 trillion standard cubic feet of gas in 2017.

The figures were unveiled by the Saudi Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources following a reserves audit carried out by consultants DeGolyer and MacNaughton (D&M).

Khalid Al-Falih stated: "this certification underscores why every barrel we produce is the most profitable in the world, and why we believe Saudi Aramco is the world's most valuable company and indeed the world's most important."
