    Algerian-Turkish firm inks USD29.9m pact with German company

    (MENAFN) Abdi Ibrahim Remede Pharma (AIRP), a joint venture between Algeria and Turkey, secured an agreement valued at USD29.9 million.

    The pharmaceuticals company inked the deal with Germany's Boehringer Ingelheim with an aim to develop drugs for hypertension and diabetes treatment.

    The pact entails the domestic development of medications Micardi.plus and Jardiance, treatments for high blood pressure and diabetes, respectively.

    Under the contract, AIRP will be producing both drugs in its unit in the new city of Sidi Abdullah, located in the western district in Algiers.
