Lebanon eyes visa-free policy creation with Algeria

(MENAFN) Lebanon is seeking to form a visa-free policy with Algeria, with an aim to strengthen its tourism and attract more Algerian visitors.

The matter was addressed on Monday by Lebanon's head of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Mohamed Choucair, during talks with Lebanon's ambassador to Algeria Mohammad Hassan.

Choucair confirmed that "this is one of the opportunities that exist between the two countries and we will be working on it very soon."

Caretaker Tourism Minister Avedis Guidanian unveiled earlier Lebanon to have been able to lure tourists in the last two years in collaboration with private tourism firms.
