Jordan to reduce Iraqi products fees for preferential oil prices

(MENAFN) Jordan will be easing fees on Iraqi products if Iraq supplying the Kingdom with 10,000 barrels of crude oil per day in preferential prices.

"Jordan demanded 10,000 barrels of Iraqi oil at Brent price after deducting transportation costs, while Jordan will cut the fees for goods imported by Iraq via Jordanian al-Aqaba port," Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi announced.

"We will have an important meeting with the Jordanian side soon to achieve the greatest economic convergence between the two countries," the prime minister noted.

"Iraq is moving to expand economic relations with all neighboring countries," Mahdi further added.

The Jordanian government made the decision shortly after the two sides inked an agreement on oil supply.
