Israel, UK to preserve trade post-Brexit

(MENAFN) Israel signed a deal with the UK aiming to preserve their trade with no extra tariffs and challenges following Brexit.

A statement affirmed that "a trade continuity agreement will see British businesses and consumers benefitting from continued trade with Israel after we leave the European Union."

The statement noted that "the agreement simplifies trade and allows businesses to trade as freely as they do now, without any additional barriers or tariffs."

It further added that under the pact, the two sides will strengthen their bilateral trade which accounted for USD5.1 billion by the third quarter of last year.
