    Tunisia, Spain ink USD28m SMEs agreement

    (MENAFN) Tunisia secured a deal valued at more than USD28.3 million with Spain, aiming to strengthen small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through providing services and easing tools and material access.

    Tunisia's Ministry of Investment, Development and International Cooperation announced that "the deal envisages a grace period of 40 years with 25 percent interest rate."

    A total of 63 Spanish firms are currently running in Tunisia, opening more than 6,000 job opportunities with investments worth USD1,360 million, affirmed Tunisian Minister of Investment, Development and International Cooperation Zied Laadhari.

    Laadhari added that "the agreement aims to give a shot in the arm to Tunisian SMEs to help them upgrade their production and create new jobs."
