Oman' SalamAir to launch direct Salalah-GCC flights
(MENAFN) Oman's low-cost airline SalamAir unveiled a plan to launch new direct flights that allows UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait passengers to reach Salalah.
SalamAir could mull over the possibility of the plan before going forward with it with Omani authorities as well as stakeholders.
Salalah has been a major destination for the Omani airline with most of its travelers taking a flight to visit the place.
"Salalah has the potential of being our hub, it will enable us to take major strides to further expand our operations and network," stated CEO of SalamAir Capt Mohamed Ahmed.
"We also want to achieve greater air connectivity for Oman, which is key to unlocking the country's economic diversification strategy and growth potential, as well as spur key sectors like tourism, aviation and logistics in the process. Our decision will depend on the facilities that will be provided to make Salalah a hub," Ahmed added.
