Israeli IAI, India sign USD500m deal on Heron sale

(MENAFN) Israel is granting India 50 Heron unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) under an agreement valued at USD500 million.

The sale deal was reached between Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and the Indian Ministry of Defense.

It comes after June 2018 when the Israeli giant penned a contract worth USD600 million for 7 UAVs from the enlarged Heron-TP model to be leased to Germany's military.

Turkey and France also previously purchased the Heron while Canada and Australia leased it, meanwhile, Morocco is running the Heron after buying it from France.
