Turkey targets USD100m in trade volume with Chad

(MENAFN) Turkey expressed its commitment to strengthen its bilateral relations and cooperation with Chad and other African nations in various areas.

Bilateral trade between Turkey and Chad in volume is targeted at USD100 million, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed.

During a joint press conference with Chadian President Idriss Deby Itno, Erdogan affirmed "our trade volume is now around $60 million. This is a very low figure."

He added "we have a population of 82 million and Chad has 15 million, which makes 97 million. This shows how low the trade volume is. We are now committed to increase this trade volume to $100 million."
