    Saudi Arabia studies plan to establish new bank for SMEs

    (MENAFN) The General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Munshaat) is now undertaking a feasibility study for establishing a new bank for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as part of several creativities that will be launched in 2019, its governor Saleh Al-Rasheed informed Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper on Monday.

    The authority is also thinking of developing a finance platform and launches an awareness campaign for SMEs.

    Other initiatives will cover government obtaining programs and suggestions for supporting SMEs.

    Al-Rasheed added, "Munshaat is working on economic transformation program initiatives, which will be announced later on. It is also considering the government fees scheme".
