(MENAFN) Bahrain is speaking to U.S. oil firms with shale oil expertise about developing a vast oil and gas field revealed in 2018, and hopes to have an interested firm by the end of the year, the kingdom's oil minister stated.

Last April Bahrain emphasized that it had revealed its largest oil and gas find since 1932 off its west coast, assessed to cover at least 80 billion barrels of tight oil.
