Qatar's QTerminals, Ooredoo ink cooperation deal
(MENAFN) Qatar's QTerminals and Ooredoo penned a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in strengthening communication access within the GCC state.
Under the agreement, the two sides will be joining hands in exchanging knowledge when it comes to the Internet of Things (IoT) Product and Services.
Both sides will also be reviewing potentials related to IoT and 5G technology, with an aim to open new productivity, efficiency and competitiveness opportunities.
"In signing this MoU with QTerminals, we're leveraging best practices in innovative technology and experience in supporting Qatar's mega-projects in order to explore ways that will support QTerminals' digital transformation," stated Ooredoo Chief Operating Officer Yousuf Abdulla Al Kubaisi.
"Using the IoT sensors on ships and containers, with data transmitted via 5G, QTerminals can predict shipping demand peaks, enhance operations and optimise throughput," Al Kubaisi added.
