    Kuwait targets 3.5b gas output in 13 years

    (MENAFN) Kuwait was confirmed to have set a target to start producing gas by 3.5 billion cubic feet per day in twelve to thirteen years.

    CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Hashem Sayyed Hashem revealed the target during the 27th Conference of the Gas Processing Association-GCC Chapter.

    Currently, the CEO of KPC noted, Kuwait is generating 1.9 billion standard cubic of gas per day and is set to produce 3 billion standard cubic feet per day by 2024.

    By 2031-32, the CEO assured, Kuwait will be achieving its maximum boundary when it comes to gas output.

    Hashem added that "natural gas has been chosen as a major domestic source of fuel in Kuwait ... because of its economic feasibility and clean effect on the environment."
