    Egypt seeks to tap into Libyan reconstruction plans

    (MENAFN) Egyptian companies are looking to participate in phase one of Libya's rebuilding, which needs USD20 billion and over 3 million employees.

    Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) secretary-general Alaa Ezz suggested that the Libyan reconstruction project would be "a good push" for Egyptian businesses.

    FEDCOC, its secretary-general revealed, entered talks with its Libyan counterparts on cooperation in a range of areas, such as infrastructure, construction and roads.

    Ezz added "the council is negotiating with international financial institutes to lend Libya the $20bln. It will help the rapid reconstruction operations in different fields."
