Saudi alfanar, Huawei sign cooperation deal
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia's electrical products manufacturer alfanar signed a cooperation agreement with the Chinese telecom giant Huawei on exploiting Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G for sustainability.
Under the agreement, the two sides will join hands in developing IoT and 5G solutions in order to speed up efforts for digital transformation achievement in the Middle East.
Both sides, as per the deal, will be using Huawei's international IoT cloud services to introduce it in Saudi Arabia as the Kingdom looks to make the service reach the entire region.
Alfanar chairman Abdul Salam Almutlaq stated "emerging IoT and 5G-driven solutions are finally allowing smart services to be deployed on a large scale, and we look forward to spearheading the shift towards building a smarter and greener Kingdom."
