Qatar Fuel to raise fuel dispenser quantities
(MENAFN) Qatar Fuel (Woqod) is looking to achieve hikes in its fuel dispensers' quantity for light and heavy cars as it seeks to facilitate congestion at fuel stations and see a jump in sales.
Doha-based Woqod was revealed to be aiming to stand at 1,032 in its fuel dispensers over a period of three years, compared to the 477 recorded last year.
Light Vehicle Dispensers are sought to reach 891 by 2022 compared to the current 419 while Heavy Vehicle Dispensers would hit 141 from 58.
Woqod confirmed in a report that it "has aggressive plans to increase its retail fuel market share to 85 percent by 2022. As the end of 2018, Woqod's retail fuel market share increased by 12 percent (70 percent in 2018 against 58 percent in 2017) driven by the opening of the new (petrol) stations. The Company is planning to build another 30 stations in 2019 and increase the number of fuel dispensers to ease congestion at the petrol stations."
