    Turkey jumps 7.4 percent in foreign tourism arrivals

    (MENAFN) The Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry revealed a 7.4 percent surge in foreign tourism arrivals throughout January to February in 2019.

    In a statement, the ministry confirmed Turkey to have received over 3.2 million guests from foreign countries during the first two months of this year.

    Compared to the same period in 2018, the ministry unveiled Istanbul as the biggest attraction to tourists as it welcomed around 1.9 million guests.

    Bulgarian visitors in Turkey, the ministry added, accounted for roughly 8.55 percent of the total foreign arrivals during the period while Germans amounted for 7.34 percent and Georgians for 7.25 percent.
