Bahrain sees 5.5 percent boost in 2018 FDI

(MENAFN) Bahrain's Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) revealed a 5.5 percent boost in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country last year, standing at USD29 billion.

An iGA report affirmed the surge to be an indication of Bahrain's hard work in luring an increased number of foreign tourists and witnessing a jump in capital flows.

FDI flow to Bahrain hit USD1,512 million in volume last year in the two key sectors of the country, which are banking and manufacturing.

Direct investments from Kuwait to Bahrain were also revealed to have marked the highest at USD 8,223 billion.
