Turkey targets trade with Russia at USD100b

(MENAFN) Turkey has set a target to reach USD100 billion in its trade with Russia as the two countries witness a growing boost in their bilateral relations.

Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant is already inaugurated in Turkey while an offshore section of the TurkStream pipeline has been wrapped up, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted.

"As of the end of this year, we aim to complete the inland section of the TurkStream pipeline," the president affirmed.

He added "Turkey aims to provide Turkish firms with opportunities in trade, agriculture, and customs that Russia gives to third countries."

It comes during talks that were held between Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, as the two leaders discussed cooperation.
