    Libyan oil industry under threat

(MENAFN) Libya raised grave concerns over its oil sector, saying that the market is under threat over the military escalation in the country, especially in Tripoli.

Crude oil export, which is considered as the main sector in Libya, could be hit with a negative impact that brings down the economy.

Chairman of Libya's National Oil Corporation Mustafa Sanalla stated "oil and gas exports are facing their biggest threat since 2011 because of the size of forces currently involved and the aftermath of the war, the latest of which took place in the outskirts of Tripoli."

This comes during a meeting held between the chairman and Fayez al-Sarraj, Head of the Presidency Council of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord, as they shed light on possible effects against the oil industry.
