    Egypt to spend USD1b in water, sanitation projects

    (MENAFN) Egypt was announced to be spending around USD1 billion of investment in drinking water and sanitation station projects for the 2019-20 fiscal year.

    Planning Minister Hala al-Saeed revealed that some of the amount will be directed into drinking water station plans in order to offer complete access to portable water.

    It follows a tour made by a ministry and National Investment Bank delegation to the three Suez Canal governorates of Suez, Port Said and Ismailia.

    During the tour, the delegation reviewed drinking water and sanitation projects as part of the ministry's plans to keep up with social and environmental projects.
