    UN affirms need of USD220B yearly to create jobs for youths in Arab World

    (MENAFN) On Wednesday, a top UN official stated that the Arab World requires USD220 million every year to provide Arab youths with 92 million job opportunities by 2030.

    "Reforms are of utmost importance to attract investments to these sectors namely in smart infrastructure, renewable energy and green technology," Rola Dashti, UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia, affirmed during the 17th Arab Business Community Forum held in Lebanon's capital Beirut.

    Dashti also urged the development in business atmosphere in the Arab world to attract investments in the upcoming period.

    The private sector in the Arab world should manage with the developments brought by the Fourth Industrial Revolution in a bid to survive, she emphasized.
