BRI of particular interest to Morocco: minister
(MENAFN) Morocco's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Nasser Bourita highlighted the positive stance of the country towards the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
China's BRI is highly significant in the eyes of Morocco, the minister told MAP news agency on the sidelines of the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
According to the minister, "the initiative is of particular interest to Morocco as it aims to promote regional integration, interconnection and the construction of major infrastructure."
Bourita further assured that the BRI is expected to open a gateway for economic cooperation between Morocco and China.
He added that Morocco completely backs the initiative under the framework of the two countries' strategic relations.
