Ooredoo Oman net income jumps 6.3 percent
(MENAFN) Net income for Oman Qatari Telecommunication Co (Ooredoo Oman) marked a jump by 6.3 percent from January to March 2019 compared to the same period in 2018.
In a statement, the Omani giant attributed the boost seen during the first quarter to a hike in revenues as well as a decline in depreciation.
"Our continued aim of enriching people's digital lives is reflected in these interim results, with positive revenue growth and net profit over the first quarter of the year," stated CEO of Ooredoo Oman Ian Dench.
Dench added "this was driven by increases in mobile postpaid and fixed data revenues; both areas showing good growth as a result of some fantastic promotions."
