Egypt eyes 8 percent economic growth by 2022

(MENAFN) Egypt has set a goal to achieve 8 percent in its economic growth for the fiscal year 2021-22, a slow boost compared to the 5.3 percent growth seen in the fiscal year 2017-18.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli revealed that Egypt is looking to boost the part private investment plays in raising the economic growth rate.

Efforts being made to enhance the business environment in Egypt are highly significant, the prime minister emphasized during the Arab Economic Forum in Beirut.

Madbouli added that the country aims to open about 900,000 jobs per year, given that 4 million job opportunities were created over the past four years.
