Algeria's Sonatrach inks 2 gas agreement with Eni
(MENAFN) Sonatrach, the biggest oil company in Algeria, penned two deals with Italy's Eni on buying and transporting natural gas.
Head of Sonatrach Rachid Hashichi inked in Algiers the ten-year agreements with Managing Director of Eni Claudio Discale.
Under the first document, the two giants extended a pact for purchasing Algerian natural gas while the second agreement concerns moving natural gas by the Trans-Mediterranean pipeline.
Algeria's company will be allowed through the agreement to reinforce its status within the Italian market, turning it to one of the most significant natural gas suppliers.
