    USD4.4b in Morocco-Spain Q1 trade

    (MENAFN) Trade between Morocco and Spain stood at USD4.4 billion from January to March 2019, maintaining Spain as the biggest trade ally for the country.

    Morocco exported 1.84 billion euros worth of products to Spain, marking an 8 percent boost during the first quarter of the year.

    L'Economiste reported that Moroccan imports from Spain reached 2.09 billion euros, indicating a 1.28 percent decline during the three-month period.

    This is the 8th consecutive year for Spain to be hailed as Morocco's best trade partner.

    Spain accounted for 41.1 percent of Moroccan exports to the European Union (EU) during the period, while France amounted for 29.3 percent.
