    15 percent jump in Turkish-Russian trade

    (MENAFN) Turkey stood at USD25 billion in its bilateral trade volume with Russia last year, marking a 15 percent surge to indicate improvement in their relations.

    Agriculture and forestry minister of Turkey Bekir Pakdemirli unveiled the figures while speaking to Russian counterpart Dmitry Patrushev in a meeting Ankara hosted.

    In a statement, the Turkish Agriculture and Forestry Ministry confirmed that Pakdemirli highlighted during the meeting the significance of strengthening Turkish-Russian ties in fields of fishery and agriculture.

    The two countries are stepping up their efforts to bolster their bilateral relations and cooperation in various domains.
