Gorgan-Inche Boroun Railway in Iran inaugurated

(MENAFN) Iran was declared to have finally launched its Gorgan-Inche-Boroun Railroad, a project which included the rebuilding of seven damaged sections in the Agh ghala area.

Head of Islamic Republic of Iran Railways (RAI) Saeed Rasouli stated: "this rail road is located on the International transit road to the Incheboroun border."

According to the RAI chief, "the freight and passenger trains traffic on this railroad will be resumed soon."

It comes as floods erupted earlier in March this year causing the Gorgan-Inche Boroun Railroad in the Agh ghala to be destroyed.

Rasouli added that "a part of this rail line located in Turkmenistan was also destroyed by the recent flood, and the Turkmen railway company simultaneously carried out the railway reconstruction."
