    0.6 percent raise in Q1 Jordanian unemployment

    (MENAFN) Statistics unveiled a 0.6 percent increase in the unemployment rate in Jordan for the first three months of this year, standing at 19 percent.

    Unemployment of males in Jordan hit 16.4 percent from January to March 2019, while unemployment among females reached 28.9 percent, revealed the Department of Statistics.

    Based on those figures, the department showed, unemployment among males climbed by 0.4 percent while among females registered a 1.1 percent boost during the first quarter.

    It further added that the unemployment rate was found to have been higher with jobless people with a university degree as it reached 24.4 percent.
