    USD725m WB loan reaches Jordan

    (MENAFN) A loan payment valued at USD725 million reached the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) as part of a USD1.45 billion loan agreement with the World Bank (WB).

    Through the received amount, Jordan will be able to repay Eurobond issuance worth USD1 billion that are due in June, revealed Mohamad Ississ, Jordanian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Minister of State for Economic Affairs.

    Jordan's planning ministry, according to sources, is completely set to repay the rest of the amount using a dollar-denominated local bond issuance.

    This comes following the approval of a USD1.45 billion loan package by the World Bank Group's Board of Executive Directors for the Jordanian economy.
