    Tunisia secures USD175m World Bank loan

    (MENAFN) Tunisia was able to secure two loan agreements, valued at USD175 million, with the World Bank (WB) as it looks to fund its digital transition programs.

    Under the loan deals, Tunisia will manage to accelerate the execution of national strategic program Digital Tunisia 2020, confirmed Minister of Communications Technologies and Digital Economy Anouar Maarouf.

    Minister Maarouf also assured that through using the amount, Tunisia will be handed an opportunity to turn into a global digital hub.

    USD100 million will be delivered to Tunisia under the first loan contract for digital transformation, while the second loan will be valued at USD75 million and used for emerging projects and SMEs.
