USD240m to reach Morocco for infrastructure plans

(MENAFN) Morocco was announced to be receiving USD240 million in loans from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD).

Using the loan obtained under two funding deals penned in Rabat, Morocco will be able to carry out a couple of plans related to infrastructure.

Economy and Finance Minister Mohamed Benchaaboun signed the agreements with AFESD managing director Abdullatif Yusuf Al-Hamad.

Through the loan, the heightening of a dam project in eastern Morocco will be funded alongside a project to establish the Laayoune expressway bypass in the south of the country.
