    Tunisian exports, imports decline

    (MENAFN) According to the National Institute of Statistics (INS), Tunisian exported plunged by 3.5 percent while imports dropped by 3.1 percent during the January-May period this year.

    On annual basis, the INS revealed, Tunisia's export revenue registered a 15.1 percent surge to stand at USD6.3 billion while imports hit USD9 billion.

    Tunisia also witnessed a decline during the five-month period in the volume of exports related to textile, clothing and leather sector, energy sector and agriculture.

    Meanwhile, a boost was recorded in exports of products related to phosphate, mining and energy derivatives.
