    Egypt, IBM ink deal to set up IT school

    (MENAFN) A cooperation protocol was penned between the Egyptian Ministry of Education (MoE) and multinational information technology company (IBM).

    Under the agreement, the two sides will be joining hands to set up the first ever IT school in Egypt's Pathways in Technology Early College High Schools model (P-TECH) system.

    Both sides are looking through the contract to offer the option of training to excellent education students in order to prepare them for local and global labor market need satisfaction.

    Education Minister Tarek Shawki confirmed that students with preparatory school certificates will be given the opportunity to study a range of fields in the new school for five years.
