    Power production capacity in Iran to jump

    (MENAFN) Iran is expected to stand at 85,695 megawatts (MW) in its power production capacity by the end of the Iranian calendar year.

    Tasnim news agency reported that this forecast was made based on a plan to add 4,827 MW in new power plants.

    According to the report, Iran is now producing 80,868 MW of nominal electricity, a jump from the 80,311 MW registered at the beginning of this Iranian year.

    It was further reported that the injected capacity was generation from the newly operational distributed generation power plants, combined-cycle power plants, along with renewable plants.
