    Sharp decline in Qatari foreign direct investment

    (MENAFN) Qatar registered a 322 percent decline in its foreign direct investment for last year, with witnessing the exit of USD2.18 billion from USD986 million of inflows posted in a year earlier.

    Foreign direct investment to Arab nations recorded a minor 0.34 percent decrease to stand at USD31.2 billion, revealed the Arab Investment & Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Dhaman).

    This year's investment attractiveness index showed a drop in the Arab world investment.

    Dhaman report said: "the UAE, Egypt and Oman received the largest share of investment inflows or 68.5 percent of the total investment inflow to Arab countries."
