    6.6 percent surge in Egyptian exports to global groups

    (MENAFN) Egypt's Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) announced the country to have posted a 6.6 percent jump in its exports to global groups.

    Last year, as the CAPMAS unveiled, Egypt exported USD28.7 billion worth of products to international groups which include the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA).

    According to CAPMAS, Egypt stood at USD7.9 billion in its exports to ESCWA last year and reached USD1.9 billion in its exports to the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).

    CAPMAS further added that Egypt witnessed an 18.6 percent boost in exports reaching groups it is not a member of, sealing USD12 billion.
