    16.7 percent decline in Moroccan FDI

    (MENAFN) Morocco registered during the fifth month of the year a 16.7 percent decrease in its Foreign Direct Investments (FDI), standing at USD850 million.

    According to the Moroccan foreign exchange regulator Office des Changes, the amount comes in comparison to the USD1.025 billion in FDI flows recorded in May 2018,

    Office des Changes confirmed that during the period, Morocco reached USD2.72 billion in remittances to mark a 3.4 percent drop.

    Trade deficit in May this year also hit USD8.7 billion to reflect a 2.5 percent boost, the regulator revealed.
